PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP)—Weyinmi Efejuku scored 20 points as Providence won its fourth game in a row, beating Rhode Island 95-66 on Saturday.

Herbert Hill scored 9 of his 19 points in the first four minutes of the second half as Providence (5-1) built a 55-39 lead. The Friars lead the intrastate rivalry 65-52.

Will Daniels had 23 points and Kahiem Seawright added 19 points for Rhode Island (4-4).

After five ties early in the game, the Friars broke away to post a 44-35 halftime lead. Daniels’ 20 points and Rhode Island’s 3-point shooting—6 of 10 — kept the Rams close in the first half.

Seawright hit a baseline jumper to make the score 79-63 with 5:35 to play, but the Rams couldn’t get any closer.

Sharraud Curry had 16 points and 12 assists for Providence.

Geoff McDermott had 15 points and 11 rebounds and Jonathan Kale added 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Friars.

Providence outscored URI 66-26 in the paint, and outrebounded the Rams 47-21.
