BATON ROUGE, La. (AP)—Josh Alexander and Antuane Miller combined for 40 points to lead Stephen F. Austin past Southern University 73-64 on Friday.
Miller, who came off the bench to score 20, and reserve Keith Hardaway added 11 more to help Stephen F. Austin (4-3) make the difference and keep the Jaguars winless.
Southern, which shot 57.5 percent from the field for the game, was down by just four at the half, 36-32. But, SFA’s bench scored 35 points compared to just 12 for Southern and dumped in 21 points off turnovers—four more than SU.
Chris Davis scored 18 to lead the Jaguars (0-7), while Deforrest Riley-Smith added 14 and Steffon Wiley had 12.
