DETROIT (AP)—Brandon Cotton had 22 points to help Detroit snap a four-game losing streak with a 72-52 victory over Eastern Michigan on Wednesday.
Cotton scored 15 in the first half, and Detroit (2-4) outscored the Eagles 13-4 in the final five minutes of the period to take control. The Titans, who entered the game making just 42 percent of their field-goal tries, went 16-for-29 (55 percent) from the floor in the first half and led 39-20 at the break.
Carlos Medlock scored 11 points and Jesse Bunkley added 10 for Eastern Michigan (1-4), which lost its third straight. The Eagles were outrebounded 41-28 and were 30 percent (16-for-53) from the floor.
Detroit’s Jon Goode scored 13 points, and Ryvon Coville had his fifth double-double of the season with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
