GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP)—Ricky Hickman had 21 points to lead UNC-Greensboro to a 77-54 victory over Wofford on Monday during the Spartans’ Southern Conference opener.

Kevin Oleksiak finished with a season-high 16 points and Ben Stywall grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds for UNC-Greensboro (2-4, 1-0). Kyle Hines finished with 13 points for his 27th consecutive game scoring in double digits, tying a school record Hickman set last year.

Tyler Whatley and Eric Marshall led the Terriers with 11 points each, and Whatley added eight rebounds.

UNC-Greensboro led at the half 39-22 and was ahead by as many as 31 points midway through the second half. Wofford (4-3, 0-1) shot 29 percent from the field and made only 9-of-33 from inside the arc.

Hickman came out of a shooting slump to finish 7-of-14 from the field including 3-of-6 for 3-pointers. Wofford played most of the game without Drew Gibson, who aggravated a hamstring injury early in the night.
