CHARLOTTE AMALIE, U.S. Virgin Islands (AP)—Jesse Pellot-Rosa scored 18 points to lead Virginia Commonwealth over College of Charleston in the U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam on Saturday night.
Eric Maynor and Wil Fameni added 12 points each for the Rams.
Dontaye Draper led College of Charleston with 20 points and six assists.
B.A. Walker scored the 1,000th point of his career and also set a Virginia Commonwealth record for three-pointers with 183.
College of Charleston lost to Villanova 81-68 on Friday and plays Toledo in the third round of the four-day tournament. Virginia Commonwealth lost to Xavier 70-67 and plays Middle Tennessee State next.
