NORFOLK, Va. (AP)—Arnaud Dahi scored 20 points and Valdas Vasylius chipped in another 15 as Old Dominion beat Florida Atlantic 70-55 on Friday.
The Monarchs (3-1) opened up a 14-2 first half lead and never trailed.
The Owls (0-3) came back early in the second half, tying the game 36-all on two free throw shots by Paul Graham with 14:35 left.
But Old Dominion immediately went on a nine point run to make it 45-36.
The Owls fought back to within five with 8:42 remaining, but that was close as they got the rest of the way.
Graham led Florida Atlantic with 17 points while Jeff Parmer had 11.
