TROY, Ala. (AP)—O’Darien Bassett scored 22 points to lead four players in double figures as Troy defeated Loyola 87-52 Sunday.
The Trojans (1-1) pulled away in the second half, outscoring the Wolfpack 45-18.
Cedric Jackson tallied 16 points and eight rebounds, while Richard Chaney added 14 points—12 in the first half—and eight boards.
Sammy Sharp tied a career high for blocks with four while adding 13 points. Ralph Jennings led the team in rebounds with nine, the second straight contest he was one short of double digits.
Luke Zumo led the Wolfpack with 13 points, while Nick Tuszynski added 10 points and a team-best eight rebounds.
