N.C.-Wilmington 78, Towson 46
WILMINGTON, N.C. (AP)—Mitch Laue scored 13 points to lead N.C.-Wilmington to a 78-46 victory over Towson in a Colonial Athletic Association game Thursday.
John Goldsberry had 11 points for the Seahawks (13-6, 6-2 CAA), and Vladimir Kuljanin added 10.
Gary Neal, averages 27.8 points per game for the Tigers (8-8, 4-3), was held to 10 points on 1-of-12 shooting and missed his final 10 attempts. Tim Crossin also had 10 points.
The Seahawks led 44-26 at halftime. In the second half, Towson never got closer than 14 points.
The Tigers hit just 27.7 percent on 13-of-47 attempts while N.C.-Wilmington shot 47 percent.
N.C.-Wilmington won for the fourth time in five games, while the Tigers had a three-game winning streak snapped.
