WASHINGTON (AP)—Roy Hibbert had 16 points and 11 rebounds and Georgetown overcame a sluggish start to beat Savannah State 78-49 Wednesday night.
It was the second consecutive double-double for Hibbert, who scored 15 in the first half.
Jeff Green scored 14 and Jessie Sapp added 11 for the Hoyas (6-2), who could not pull ahead by more than 5 before closing the first half with 18-6 run. Green, who had seven points during the outburst, finished it off with a 3-pointer to give the Hoyas a 41-22 lead at the break.
Javon Randolph had 13 points the Tigers (1-11), coached by former Hoya Horace Broadnax.
The game was part of the Hispanic College Fund Basketball Classic. ^
