PEORIA, Ill. (AP)—Marcus Sommerville scored 20 points and Lawrence Wright added 17 to go with 10 rebounds Saturday night as Bradley beat Delaware State 68-46.
Tony Bennett chipped in 11 points and Zach Andrews 10 to give the Braves (5-2) four starters in double figures. Bradley raced to a 31-17 halftime lead, shot 54 percent for the game and held a 35-23 rebounding edge before a crowd of 7,880 at Carver Arena.
Wright was 6-for-7 from the field and Andrews 5-of-6 for the Braves, who shot 14-for-21 (67 percent) in the second half.
Delaware State’s Hornets (2-7) got 11 points from Tracey Worley and 10 from Aaron Fleetwood, but were only 1-of-13 from the 3-point line.
