CARBONDALE, Ill. (AP)—Randal Falker scored 16 points and had nine rebounds Saturday night as Southern Illinois ran its homecourt winning streak to 26 games by beating Kent State 58-51.
Playing at home for the first time in three weeks, the Salukis (4-3) also got 13 points from Matt Shaw, 12 from Jamaal Tatum and 11 from Wesley Clemmons in a balanced attack.
SIU led by two at the half and then held Kent State (5-3) to 20 percent field goal shooting in the second half (5-of-25). Jay Youngblood led Kent State with 15 points and Omni Smith added 13 for the visitors, who had a 36-29 rebounding advantage.
