NEW YORK (AP)—Joey Mundweiler scored 15 of his 23 points in the first half Tuesday night, leading Wagner to an 83-71 victory over Columbia.
Matt Vitale and Mark Porter each had 10 points for the Seahawks (5-1), who led 47-30 at halftime.
Ben Nwachukwu’s 16 points topped the Lions (5-2). K.J. Matsui added 14 points.
Wagner, which never trailed, opened with an 11-5 run that was capped off by Vitale’s jumper at 14:48 of the first half.
Vitale also connected on a 3-pointer that ended a 10-1 surge, increasing Wagner’s lead to 45-26 at 1:35.
Mundweiler’s 3-pointer sparked a 16-8 run that gave the Seahawks its biggest lead, 63-38 at 11:40 of the second half.
