Rutgers did not take its first lead until Farmer’s 3-pointer made it 26-24 with 18:24 remaining, but the Scarlet Knights led for the remainder of the game.

Trailing 23-20 at halftime, Rutgers used a 19-8 run to open a 39-31 lead. The Owls cut it to 39-38 before Farmer hit a 3-pointer to start another 19-8 run that provided a 58-46 lead.

Temple never got closer than eight after that, as Douby scored 13 of Rutgers’ final 14 points. The junior guard was 8-for-8 from the line during that stretch. Douby added four assists, three blocked shots and a steal.

The Scarlet Knights shot 41.2 percent after a woeful shooting first half, and forced Temple into 12 turnovers. The Owls had just 13 turnovers in their first three games.
