CLEVELAND (AP)—Raheem Moss scored 14 points to lead Cleveland State to a 56-43 win over cold-shooting Central Michigan on Wednesday night.

The Vikings (2-2) used an 11-2 run to take an eight-point lead late in the first half and the Chippewas (1-3) never got closer than seven after that.

Central Michigan shot 30.6 percent from the floor and was 8-for-35 in the second half, preventing a comeback.

Cleveland State’s run turned a 20-19 deficit into a 30-22 lead with 1:17 to go until halftime.

Carlos English started the surge with a 3-pointer, one of three he hit in the first half—accounting for all his points.

Moss scored nine of Cleveland State’s 26 points in the second half. J’Nathan Bullock added 10 points for the Vikings.

Chris Kellerman and Giordan Watson each scored 11 points and Sefton Barrett had 10 for the Chippewas.
