POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (AP)—Terrence Todd hit a jumper in the lane as time expired to lift Fairfield over Marist 61-60 Thursday night.
Todd finished with 18 points, and Deng Gai added 12 points for the Stags (12-10, 9-4 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference).
After Marist was up 30-28 at the half, Fairfield built a five-point lead with 7:30 to play. But Ben Farmer made two free throws for the Red Foxes to tie the game at 57 with 48 seconds left.
Todd put the Stags ahead with a jumper. Marist’s Shae McNamara connected on a long 3-pointer before Todd’s winning shot.
Jared Jordan led the Red Foxes (10-12, 7-6) with 15 points, while McNamara added 10.
