EASTON, Pa. (AP)—The backcourt of Kevin Hamilton and Keith Simmons combined for 40 points as Holy Cross beat Lafayette 74-57 on Friday night.
Hamilton finished with 22 points on 8-of-12 shooting, while Simmons chipped in 18 points on 6-of-10 shooting as Holy Cross earned its fifth consecutive Patriot League win and sixth straight overall.
Holy Cross (14-5, 5-1) led by 22 with 8:34 remaining in the game before the Leopards (5-14, 1-5) went on a 14-4 run to pull within 12, paced by Jamaal Douglas, who made two 3-pointers in 25 seconds. But Hamilton and Simmons scored eight of the last 12 points to seal the win.
The Crusaders led 31-18 at the half.
Jamaal Douglas led Lafayette with 14 points.
