WEST POINT, N.Y. (AP)—Kevin Hamilton and Keith Simmons each scored 18 points to propel Holy Cross to a 66-29 victory over Army Wednesday night.
Trailing 12-11 with 12:30 left in the first half, Holy Cross (9-5, 1-1 Patriot League) opened the game up with a 15-3 run, fueled by four points each from Hamilton and Torey Thomas.
Holy Cross started the second half on a 22-7 run over the first 11 minutes, with Hamilton scoring the first six points of the run and Simmons capping it with seven consecutive field goals, including a breakaway dunk.
The Black Knights (2-12, 0-2) hit just 9 of 46 shots for the game while Holy Cross converted 50 percent of its shots, including 10 of 20 from 3-point range.
Thomas finished with nine points, eight rebounds, three assists and three steals.
Jimmy Sewell scored 11 points and grabbed seven rebounds for the Black Knights.
