BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP)—Bracey Wright finished with 30 points and four rebounds as Indiana beat Wisconsin 74-61 in a Big Ten Conference matchup Saturday.
D.J. White had 13 points and seven rebounds, and Robert Vaden scored 11 for Indiana (6-7, 1-1 Big Ten), which won for the fourth time in five games and snapped a four-game losing streak to the Badgers.
Alando Tucker had 22 points and eight rebounds, and Kammron Taylor scored a career-high 21 for Wisconsin (10-3, 1-1), which had its five-game winning streak snapped.
The Badgers scored a season-low 20 points in the first half on 6-of-21 shooting from the field, which included hitting just 2-of-10 from 3-point range.
Wright scored 14 points in the opening half for Indiana, which shot 50 percent and had a 34-20 lead at the break.
The Hoosiers jumped all over Wisconsin early in the game, taking a 13-3 lead following a 10-0 run with less than five minutes gone in the first half. Wright capped the rally with a jumper.
The Badgers cut the deficit to 22-16 with six minutes left, but Indiana got an A.J. Ratliff 3-pointer and a three-point play by Wright to extend the lead to 12.
The Hoosiers came out in the second half and picked up where they left off. Forward D.J. White blocked a shot on Wisconsin’s opening possession, and Wright hit a basket to push the lead to 16.
Wisconsin got back within 10 after a Tucker layup and free throw with 7:50 left. But Indiana responded with a 5-1 run to take a 58-44 lead with just under six minutes left.
