FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP)—Andrew Patterson had 12 points and Matt Williams added 11 points as Colorado State remained unbeaten at home with a 78-53 victory over Montana State Tuesday night.
Matt Nelson, Dwight Boatner and Michael Morris had 10 points each as Colorado State (5-2) improved to 5-0 at home.
Casey Durham, 3-for-4 on 3-pointers, led Montana State (1-5) with 11 points. Nick Dissly and Marvin Moss had 10 each for the Bobcats, who are 0-4 on the road.
Colorado State used its size and a hot shooting stretch to build a 48-24 lead at the break.
Two 3-pointers by Durham got Montana State as close as 57-37 with 11:50 left in the game. But Nelson, who was injured when the Rams lost 82-75 in last year’s meeting, kept the game out of reach by scoring six of the next eight points.
