Old Dominion 69, William & Mary 56

NORFOLK, Va. (AP)—Alex Loughton and Isaiah Hunter scored 14 points apiece Saturday night as Old Dominion defeated mistake-prone William & Mary 69-56.

Old Dominion (6-1, 1-0 Colonial Athletic Association) converted 23 Tribe turnovers into 29 points. Drew Williamson and Kiah Thomas each had four of the Monarchs’ 14 steals.

William & Mary (3-3, 0-1 CAA) managed only two points off seven Monarchs turnovers.

There were seven lead changes and six ties before Williamson hit a 3-pointer with 18:15 left to put Old Dominion ahead for good, 36-33. A few minutes later, Thomas scored on fast-break layups to start and end a 15-3 run that gave the Monarchs their biggest lead, 63-47, with 6:04 left. The Tribe could get no closer than 12 the rest of the way.

Arnaud Dahi scored 12 points and Thomas added 12 for Old Dominion, which shot only 37 percent from the floor but took 19 more shots than the Tribe.

Edwin Ofori Attah came off the bench to lead William & Mary with 18 points. Corey Cofield added 13.
