AUBURN, Ala. (AP)—Ian Young and Toney Douglas each made two free throws over the final 23 seconds of overtime to lead Auburn to a 79-76 victory over Colorado State on Tuesday night.

Young tied the game at 66 with 25 seconds left in regulation.

Nathan Watson of Auburn (5-0) hit a 3-pointer with 2 minutes left broke a 72-all tie. Matt Williams made a layup that brought the Rams within 75-74 and Young and Douglas then made their free throws.

John Rakiecki scored with 1 second left for the final margin.

Douglas led the Tigers with 23 points, while Young added 22 and Quinnel Brown had 11.

Freshman center Stuart Creason, who played because starter Matt Nelson came down with a virus just 30 minutes before tipoff, led the Rams (3-2) with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Rakiecki added 13 points and Williams had 10.

Colorado State, which led 35-34 at halftime, held the Tigers to 44 percent shooting in the second half. The Rams hit 57 percent from the field in the second half.
