BUIES CREEK, N.C. (AP)—Anthony Atkinson scored 18 points to lead Campbell in a 75-62 win against William & Mary on Tuesday night.
Diego Aguiar added 16 for the Camels (1-1), while Comerlee Poole helped out with 10 points and 12 rebounds.
Campbell never trailed and led by as many as 17 in the first half, despite 15 points from reserve Edwin Ofori Attah. He had just 2 points the rest of the way, but still led the Tribe (2-1) in scoring with 17. Hawley Smith had 11.
William & Mary took nearly half its shots from behind the 3-point line, despite a dismal showing. They were just 4-of-27 from 3-point-range for the game and made just 1-of-14 tries after intermission.
Maurice Latham gave the Camels 15 points, seven rebounds, six assists and five steals.
