LORMAN, Miss. (AP)—Trey Johnson scored 18 points and Brian Jackson had 14 points and 11 rebounds to lead Alcorn State to a 70-67 victory over Alabama A&M on Monday night.
The Braves (5-10, 4-4 Southwestern Athletic Conference) won their third straight by erasing a 44-35 halftime deficit.
Alabama A&M (5-10, 3-4), which came in having won three of four, built its first-half lead by shooting 52 percent. But the Bulldogs made only 8 of 33 shots (24 percent) in the second half while scoring 23 points.
Obie Trotter scored 18 points and hit four 3-pointers for Alabama A&M, and Terry Horton added 15.
