WASHINGTON (AP)—Brandon Bowman scored 20 points and Georgetown forced 26 turnovers in a 71-53 win over Davidson on Saturday night.
It was the fifth time this season that Georgetown (6-0) has forced 20 or more turnovers. Davidson (2-4) missed its first eight shots and turned the ball over seven times in the opening 6:17.
Gerald Riley scored 14 of his 19 points in the first half for the Hoyas. The senior guard scored seven of the game’s first 10 points and 11 of Georgetown’s first 16. The Hoyas led 37-38 at the half.
The Wildcats were just 8-for-25 from behind the 3-point line and were never closer than seven points in the second half.
