BATON ROUGE, La. (AP)—Jaime Lloreda had 30 points and 21 rebounds to lead LSU to an 87-77 win over McNeese State Monday night.
Lloreda also blocked four shots to make scoring inside difficult for the Cowboys, but Edward Garriet sank eight 3-pointers to help keep McNeese (1-1) in the game.
LSU (2-0) had three other players in double figures; Darrel Mitchell had 16 points, Brandon Bass added 15 and Antonio Hudson chipped in 11. Bass also had 12 rebounds for the Tigers.
Garriet’s eight 3s led the scoring for McNeese, with 24 points, and Greg Tucker added 21. Garriet also grabbed six rebounds.
