NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. (AP)—Ricky Soliver hit a 12-footer with 40 seconds left in the second overtime and Steve Smith added a free throw to lift Iona over Manhattan 80-77 Sunday.
Maceo Wofford scored 18 points and Soliver 14 to lead six players in double figures for the Gaels (14-9, 9-5 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conferencr), who have won three of their last four games.
Luis Flores, who missed a potential tying 3-pointer with 8 seconds left in the second overtime, scored 32 points for the Jaspers (19-5, 12-3), who have now lost two in a row after winning 15 straight.
Iona never trailed after Smith, who had 13 points, scored with 2:59 left in the second half to give the Gaels a 54-53 lead.
Flores scored with 36 seconds remaining in regulation to tie the game at 60 and send it into overtime.
Manhattan’s Jason Wingate, who scored all six of his points in the first overtime, stole the ball and scored with 1:01 left to tie the game at 70 and force a second overtime.
Jared Johnson had 16 points and 10 rebounds and Dave Holmes had 12 points and 11 rebounds for the Jaspers.
Courtney Fields had 12 points, Marvin McCullough 11 and Charles Henson 10 for Iona.
