Preview | Box Score | Recap

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP)—LaVell Blanchard had 23 points and Lester Abram scored a career-high 20 points as the Michigan Wolverines held off IUPUI 84-79 Saturday for their seventh straight win.

Michigan (7-6) has a winning record thanks to its longest winning streak in five seasons. The team lost its first six games for the first time in school history.

Odell Bradley scored a career-high 26 for the Jaguars (6-8). Josh Mullins scored 16 points and Matt Crenshaw added 12, but both fouled out.

After the Wolverines led by nine twice in the first half and were ahead 39-34 at halftime, IUPUI outscored them 16-7 to take a 50-46 lead with 16 minutes left.

The teams traded leads and were tied four times until Blanchard’s putback off an offensive rebound put Michigan ahead 69-67 with 3:32 left. The Wolverines made enough free throws to seal the win.

Daniel Horton had 17 points and nine assists for the Wolverines.

Michigan junior Bernard Robinson missed the first game of his career because of a sore knees, according to team spokesman Tom Wywrot.
