Bowling Green 76, Buffalo 59
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (AP)—Kevin Netter scored a career-best 36 points as Bowling Green defeated Buffalo 76-59 Wednesday night in the Mid-American Conference opener for both teams.
Netter was 12-for-22 from the field and made 12-of-15 free throws.
John Reimold added 19 points for the Falcons (2-1).
Roderick Middleton scored 17 points and Turner Battle had 11 for the Bulls (2-3), while Mark Bortz had 11 rebounds as Buffalo had a 42-27 advantage off the glass.
Bowling Green scored the first four points and never trailed. It was 18-7 with 10:36 to play in the first half and the Falcons maintained the 11-point advantage, 34-23, at halftime. They led by 24 points on several occasions in the second half.
Bowling Green was 27-for-51 from the field for 52.9 percent while Buffalo was 20-for-54 for 37 percent.
