ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP)—Donta Richardson scored 30 points as Wyoming defeated Division II Alaska Anchorage 77-69 Friday in the consolation bracket of the Great Alaska Shootout.

Marcus Bailey added 15 points and Joe Ries had 13 points and nine rebounds for the Cowboys (2-1), who opened the tournament with an 81-72 loss to College of Charleston.

Peter Bullock had 37 points and 13 rebounds for Alaska Anchorage (1-3).

The Seawolves, who opened with a 98-69 loss to Oklahoma State, led most of the first half and was ahead 18-8 with 12:22 to go after Bullock scored nine straight points.

But Wyoming began finding the 6-foot-8 Ries and 6-10 Alex Dunn under the basket and took its first lead, 26-25, with 6:44 left in the half. The Cowboys led 46-39 at the break.

A 14-6 run by Anchorage at the start of the second half tied the score at 52-52 with 12:34 remaining. But Richardson led a 15-4 run that helped the Cowboys pull away.
