Roll sprains ankle, UCLA basketball injuries grow

  • Print

LOS ANGELES (AP)—Michael Roll joined the list of injured UCLA basketball players when he sprained his right ankle.

Roll got hurt during practice Sunday and will see a doctor Monday, when it will be determined how much time he will miss.

The Bruins already have five scholarship players on the inactive list because of injury.

J’mison Morgan (left knee), Jerime Anderson (left groin), Malcolm Lee (concussion) and d Brendan Lane (left ankle) have all missed a week of practice. They will be re-evaluated Monday.

Mike Moser (lower back) and James Keefe (left shoulder) both returned to practice last week.

Whoever Jerry B is isn't really much of a factor in anything he has to write. He is afraid to write his own name completely because it would show what a real horse'sass he is and that he knows nothing about college basketball. Mr. B aside from Coach Wooden how many coaches can you name that made 3 straight appearances in the final four. His record over these past 4 years speaks for itself. How about you.....Like all the bigmouth idiots you have no class, no guts and no ability to write anything anywhere that people could make any sense about because it lacks truth and reasoning and most of all the facts that were in front of you.

This years' team is going to be hard pressed to continue into the post season and the madness of the tournment. To many young inexperienced players at the key position. Lots of talent but looks to be a year away but with Coach Howland you never know but the end of the preseason and the league mid season they maybe be extremely better and could go fairly far into the tournment. n GO BRUINS...................................................

Seriously guys, the gorilla in the room in Bruin basketball as well as football is weak recruiting. As has been stated many times before, if you are looking for hard-ass toughness, look other places than Calif ornia. As a long-time Bruin fan I am very disappointed in the teams that show up from year to year. They all seem like the left-overs..........Go Bruins! ?

I guess maybe USC should focus on football, seeing as how their basketball coach quit under allegations of paying his student athletes. Pathetic program over there in Watts.
