LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP)—Samardo Samuels had 18 points and 14 rebounds to lead No. 19 Louisville to an 88-65 victory over Bellarmine in an exhibition game on Wednesday night.

Preston Knowles added 15 points and Edgar Sosa had 12 points and four assists for the Cardinals, who shot 50 percent and had little trouble with the Knights, an NCAA Division II school located in Louisville.

Justin Benedetti led Bellarmine with 21 points. The Knights are coached by former Louisville assistant Scott Davenport.

The Cardinals never trailed, though Bellarmine briefly pulled within 10 points midway through the second half. Freshman guard Peyton Siva kickstarted a late Louisville surge with a spectacular reverse dunk as the Cardinals pulled away.

Big time Card fan here. Very strange watching this game because my nephew plays for the Knights. His name is B. Hobbs. During the course of the game I was drawn to watching him to see his reaction to such a big game with a big school. Although he didnt score alot, he played his heart out delivering bullet passing and hard nosed defense. Not to mention didnt commit a single foul the entire game in which he only sat out a handful of minutes. Very proud of him and their #1, #2 division 2 ranking. Go Knights
