While we're waiting for the Kelvin Sampson circus to get underway (now it seems
like that press conference has been pushed back to at least 4 o'clock, which
makes me question if
any of this is reliable), enjoy this ridiculous shot made by Washington's
Venoy Overton against Arizona last night.
I'm intrigued by the defender's reaction. He sort of throws his arms up, but I
don't know if he's upset he was called for a foul, blown away that Overton got
the shot to go, or saying to himself, "Geez, exactly how hard do I have to
foul this damn guy?"
Overton had 19 in the win for Washington, which didn't do any favors for
Arizona's bubble chances. The 'Cats 16-10 overall, and now they're under .500 in
the conference. They still boast an RPI of 22, though, which probably keeps them
on the good side of that bubble.
I'm really getting tired of using the word bubble, by the way. I'm going to
have to come up with something else. Globule, maybe. "Globule Watch" has a certain ring to it.
