I didn't think much of this at first, but it turns out Sports By Brooks did, and kudos to them for the catch. John Calipari's son is 12 years old. Having been to Las Vegas several times, I can think of numerous better places for a 12-year-old's birthday. Like, say, a baseball game. Or a trip to the Toys 'R' Us. Or maybe even a golf outing, where the father can impart some scholarly, I-lived-through-this wisdom, the sort of thing Calipari tweets so with such frequency anyway.

Basically, anyplace else in the world would be better a one in which spend time with your 12-year-old son. I didn't even know they let 12-year-olds in Las Vegas.

I agree with the comment, "I can think of a lot of better places to take your 12 year old son that Las Vegas". But, at least he is with his Father and not somebody who doesn't care about what he might see, hear or get into out there. Hey, who knows, this may not be there first trip together to LV. You know the saying, What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas........Hmmmmmmmmmm!

Ridiculous. I went to Vegas at about that age. I spent most of the time playing the arcade games in the Luxor, visiting the tourist attactions, etc. There's golf there too. Vegas is way more kid-friendly than you think, and that was 10 years ago. Just a silly post all around.

His son is playing in a golf tournament in Vegas. Read his next few tweets... Eamonn Brennan, you're an idiot.
