The big eligibility scandal of the offseason has focused on Renardo
Sidney, the star Mississippi State recruit whose lodgings in California
have come under question from the NCAA clearinghouse. Little did anyone
know that a much bigger recruit -- Kentucky's John Wall, the No. 1
overall player in this year's class -- is, at this point, just as
ineligible. As my most esteemed colleague might say: whoa boy.
The issue is John Wall's AAU coach, Brian Clifton, who was registered as an agent with FIBA for about a year. If Wall received benefits from Clifton, such as plane rides to tournaments, uniforms, sneakers -- anything, really -- Wall would have to repay whatever he received before he could be eligible to play for Kentucky. According to ESPN's report, Kentucky compliance officials have been working "feverishly" to figure out if Wall owes money and if so, how much.
Maybe this isn't any more unlikely than Sidney's long-running eligibility issues, and maybe this will all be resolved by the time Kentucky plays its first exhibition game on Nov. 7. But there are a few reasons why this is different from Sidney, namely because it's so surprising -- how was Kentucky able to keep this under wraps for so long -- and because Wall is the premier player in the country leading a rejuvenated UK fan base fresh off its most orgasmic offseason on record. If Wall's ineligibility doesn't get sorted out in the next few weeks, make no mistake: it's a major blow.
But it's also not one that will cost Kentucky much on the court. The punishment for Wall's offense, assuming there is one, is that "an athlete can be withheld from at least 10 percent of a team's games." My math's not great, but that means Wall would likely miss three or four games. Not exactly the most exciting news Kentucky fans have ever heard, but certainly not the most devastating, either.

Wait, I got another one for you. Calipari also caused the housing meltdown and subsequent stock market fall last year. Oh, and I bet Calipari caused Serena Williams to berate that line judge at the US Open. He has also been bribing the MLB umpires to give all those bogus calls to the Yankees! Oh, and did you hear that he drugged Mike Tyson so he would lose to Buster Douglas??? Hold on! Where was Calipari during the '80 Olympics when the US beat Russia in hockey????
IDIOTS......

Every time a story like this comes out, Kentucky the commonwealth will hold their breath and pray that the future NBA talent Calipari brings will follow the rules while still in college.
Oh and make sure they take their SAT's.

did you not catch what I was trying to get across in my last post? Ryan Kelly Pukes 2009 top 10 recruiting class member played with John Wall this past AAU season. i did notice that nobody is pointing this out. not one post by all the nervous BIG BLUE haters and definately not by Forde, Bilas,Hubert or any one else that hasn't been up the butt of espn. But funny thing is that on the player profile videos on the espn recruits you see the Best player in the country dishing the rock to none other than that TOP recruit for the Duckies [ I do wish that coach K would stop Recruiting classless low life recruits like Ryan Kelly. THat arogant money ungry kid that only has $$$ bills dancing in his head] Now i say this because John Wall is not guilty of anything and neither is Ryan Kelly I have had the privilage of meeting and talking with both. Every kid on that team is guilty of nothing. So that said if this is only a rule that the SEC has so be it. But if the ACC or any conferance that any of these recruited any of the kids then Forde, Bilas Hubert and most of allESPN should be buzzing around Durham NC. any second. But that will not happen look at the past expect the same in the future.Because the BIG BLUE is back in abig way and if your not down with that than to bad.Shame on any one that calls these kids bad kids because they played on an AAU team together put that in you smipe and poke it!!!! LOL GO BIG BLUE!!!
