Pitt didn't even try. We played awful. But give credit to Providence. They are a good team this year, and they are likely NCAA Bound after this win. How can they leave the Friars out after this win, but let Syracuse...who has a worse Big East record, in?
It would have been nice to hold on to #1 for another week...but hey, now Pitt has a chance to do something it has never done before (again). This will be the first time Pitt has ever faced a #1 ranked team at the Petersen Events Center when UConn comes to the Pete next weekend (if they win tonight).
And Pitt's three losses are still better than UNC's 3 (they were all on the road, 2 to top 10 teams, and one to this desperate bubble team)...so it will be interesting to see where the rankings go next week.

(snicker!!!)
Nice going, Pitt! Way to justify that #1 ranking!
As for that huge floating head...is that "Dr. Manhattan"s little brother, "Dr. Providence" ?
("Watchmen"...opening March 6...)
