New shirt takes a dig at Kentucky's academic woes

When Kentucky became the first college basketball program to surpass the 2,000-win plateau in December, Wildcats fans quickly snapped up thousands of "UK2K" T-shirts commemorating the historic achievement. 

An innovative Louisville fan playing off that same concept has created a T-shirt that may be just as popular with Kentucky's rivals.

To "honor" Kentucky for its paltry 2.025 team GPA during fall semester, Todd Evans is printing and selling T-shirts for $15 with the slogan "UK2.0K" on the front. The back of the shirts read: "2010 GPA: 2.0 ... FEAR FOR OUR FUTURE ... IF YOU CAN READ THIS, YOU'RE NOT A UK BASKETBALL PLAYER"

The Cardinals didn't give their fans much to brag about this past season with their one-sided first-round NCAA tournament exit, so credit their fans for being creative enough to come up with an off-the-court dig at their rivals.

And before you ask, yes, Louisville did fare considerably better than Kentucky in the classroom this season. The Cardinals' team GPA was a respectable 3.0.
