The Dagger - NCAAB

It's no secret that Gus Johnson is the patron announcing saint of the blogosphere. Deadspin's media approval ratings put Gus at a solid 90 percent positive rating; I'm pretty sure George Washington's approval rating was never 90 percent. When you factor in the fact that we bloggers can, at times, be a little too cranky when it comes to preferences in sports telecommunication, you've got a truly battle-tested guy in Gus.

So he can really announce, but did you know he can sing? During a Knicks game (yes, college ball fans, Gus does NBA games too) Gus' producers had a little fun with the man. Hilarity -- hilarity, I tell you! -- ensued.

Anything to make the Knicks watchable, I guess.

Gus Johnson is my 2nd favorite basketball announcer (my favorite is George Blaha, the NBA's Detroit Pistons announcer..but I think Gus, who grew up as a Pistons fan, will one day replace him).

NO ONE could shatter a glass backboard like Gus Johnson. Glad to hear he is still involved in the NBA.
