Duke loses; world rejoices

You've surely heard by now: Duke lost to West Virginia earlier today, a product of both the Mountaineers' strength -- Joe Alexander went for +20 and +10 yet again, and Bob Huggins got a near triple-double from reserve point guard Joe Mazzulla -- and the Dookies' inability to turn themselves from unathletic, three-point shooting team into a tourney-ready squad. A less humble blogger would here interject that he picked West Virginia to beat Duke, and that those taunting him for picking Baylor in the Sweet 16 should fall back ... but I won't do that. Instead, I'll merely taunt Duke fans.

I tried splicing the two below videos, but I don't have that sort of tech talent. It's best to listen to them together. One soundtracks the other perfectly, and I'm confident you won't find a better combination of schadenfreude and genuine empathy anywhere on the bloggernets.

It's not exactly last year's loss to VCU, but Duke-bashers of the world can still unite under one banner tonight. Cheers.

    once again we had to watch the refs give another game to ucla!! like i have said before if wooden dies no team has a chance in hell to win. we as fans need to turn up the heat on the officials, we all know that betting and bribes by the refs is ruining the game! we all need to take matters in our hands, each box score has there names and WE can stop this!! if we dont its our own fault.

    amen to what stephanie wrote, the officials are making big bucks on these games. the ncaa will not do anything because they are making the money too! confront these guys, tape these bad calls and send them into the offices of the higher ups. there is to much money involved for these bozos to decide the outcome of games, we as fans need to take matters in our own hands!
