Yeah guys! We beat Rhode Island at home! We did it! My fake temporary over-the-heart Duke tattoo -- let me show you it!
Sorry, Duke fans. I appreciate your enthusiasm, and your fake body art. But you should not be this excited about a near-loss at Cameron Indoor Stadium to Rhode Island. (Duke won 82-79.) That's a game you were supposed to win going away, and sure, sometimes it's just good to get a win, and sometimes that scrappy mid-major really takes a bite out of you ... but it doesn't mean you get to celebrate like you just beat North Carolina. A little restraint, please?
See, Duke fans, we don't want to hate you. So many already do. If you do things like this, though, you have to expect it. Of course, it doesn't help that Kyle Singler was the eager recipient of a pretty sketchy foul call with 19 seconds left. But you can't help that. It's almost beside the point. The point is that when you beat the University of Rhode Island 82-79, this is not how you should react.
Got it? We cool. Cool.
