Soon-to-be former Kentucky player DeMarcus Cousins was at the McDonald's All-American high school game and brought along John Wall, Eric Bledsoe, chocolate-peanut goodness and 1.7 grams of polyunsaturated fat.
With ESPN cameras trained on him during Tuesday night's game, the future NBA lottery pick and portly fellow clutched a bag of Peanut M&M's:
When he first appeared on screen, Cousins was on his cell phone but put it away after Wall alerted him to the camera's presence (now that's a point guard). Interesting that he chose to put away a phone and flaunt the candy rather than the other way around. Healthy eating habits and good decision making. Buyer beware, NBA teams.
Look, Peanut M&M's are one of the most delicious creations man has ever concocted. Just seeing that yellow wrapper made me want to drive to 7-11 to pick up a bag. But when you're a potential top-five NBA pick whose two biggest question marks are dedication and fitness, wouldn't it be best to pass up the candy for a little bit? Or at least eat it on the sly? I feel like he never would have made such a questionable decision if those Urkel glasses were on his face rather than dangling from his collar.
