Hey! Tonight kicks off the ACC-Big Ten Challenge in earnest (though last night's event was about as good an opener as the competition could have hoped for), which means Big Ten basketball, and lots of it. More than you'll be able to stand, probably. But instead of letting that enthusiasm droop, the coaches of the Big Ten are here to pump ... (clap) ... YOU UP:

Brief, stupid observations: 1. Bill Carmody sounds like a young Dennis Leary. If the whole Northwestern-basketball-coach thing doesn't work out, he should totally consider doing voice work for truck commercials.

2. Tom Crean is a great actor. No wonder he's been able to pull off "optimism" so well lately. That's method performance at its finest.

3. Matt Painter agrees with Stephen A. Smith. No basketball is complete without CHEESE DOODLES.
