If there's any doubt why Baylor signee Deuce Bello has a reputation as the Class of 2011's most explosive athlete, the Westchester County Day shooting guard validates the hype in the video below.
Near the end of a 86-39 romp over the Forsyth Home Educators on Friday night, Bello picks up a loose ball near mid-court, zooms by the lone defender between him and the rim and realizes he's all alone. The 6-foot-3 guard gets away with an obvious carry setting up his dunk but makes up for it with a sweet between-the-legs one-handed flush.
It's pretty rare for a player on any level to have the time and the athleticism to attempt a between-the-legs slam in an actual game, but this is actually the second time Bello has pulled off such a dunk. He made ESPN's SportsCenter with this between-the-legs finish on a fastbreak during another high school game last season.
Don't count on Bello attempting such a flashy dunk in a Big 12 game next season because Baylor coach Scott Drew might yank him off the floor. Still, between Bello and high school teammate and fellow Baylor signee Quincy Miller, there should be plenty of YouTube-worthy moments for Bears fans to look forward to next season.
