Duke haters will be buying adidas sneakers from now until the 2010-11 season tips off.
In honor of the Blue Devils capturing their fourth national championship last week in Indianapolis, Nike has launched an ad campaign bearing the slogan "Order has been restored."
This full-page ad ran in Sports Illustrated this week and the logo to the right has also appeared in various publications and around the net.
A company that has attached itself to Kobe Bryant and Tiger Woods surely knows all about the pros and cons of alligning with polarizing figures, but early evidence suggests this Nike campaign will be just as divisive.
Duke fans are clamoring for the logo to appear on T-shirts. One Maryland fan, meanwhile, speaks for the rest of the nation when he begins a blog post about the campaign with "Get your barf bags ready."
