Few college players have the cachet to warrant their own jersey. Most
of the time, those jerseys aren't fully realized until well after the
player has graduated from his school and gone on to a successful NBA
career. Then, in the cause of revisionism, the school issues retro
jerseys, forcing paunchy white dudes such as myself to consider whether or
not we can get away with rocking a basketball jersey. The answer,
usually, is no.
But for this tasty little bit of swag, I might make an exception. It's Stephen Curry's Davidson jersey,
which you can see at right, and not only is it awesome simply because
it's Stephen Curry, already a college basketball legend, but because
the jersey itself is actually pretty nice. I could wear that. At the
very least, I could respect that. And I would certainly accept it as a Christmas gift.
For those of you worried about your jersey-wearing abilities, or who
don't want to plunk down $60 plus shipping for something you might wear
once, there are other Curry-swag options. Like the Nike Witness hat, for example. That's pretty dope, too. Or a t-shirt.
Can't go wrong with a t-shirt. That way, you can be a Davidson fan even
if you're not a Davidson fan. Plenty of room on that bandwagon. Hop on.
