Top four teams the model of consistency

Some things don’t ever seem to change.
That at least is the case with the top four teams in the Rivals Top 25.
Texas had another fantastic week that included a road series sweep over Missouri. As a result, the Longhorns once again are No. 1 in our rankings.
Virginia, Arizona State and Florida are right behind the ‘Horns. The Cavaliers took care of Miami over the weekend, Arizona State took two of three from Oregon State and Florida won the SEC regular-season title with a road series win over South Carolina.
UCLA won its ninth straight Pac-10 game in a series sweep over California and climbed from No. 7 to No. 5, while Coastal Carolina moved from No. 8 to No. 6 and Cal State Fullerton finally moved into the top 10 after another successful week.
Florida State dropped from No. 5 to No. 13 following a poor showing at Clemson, and Mississippi fell from No. 16 to No. 22 after getting swept by Auburn at home.
Washington State, San Diego, Vanderbilt and UC Irvine are the last five teams in the rankings. No teams dropped out this week.

The Longhorns went on the road over the weekend and swept Missouri. UT continues to play at an extremely high level.

The Cavaliers finished off the regular season in style with an impressive road series win over Miami.

The Sun Devils began the week with a win over rival Arizona and took two of three from Oregon State over the weekend.

The Gators really couldn’t have asked for a better week. After winning a midweek game, they hit the road and won the SEC title at South Carolina.

The Bruins swept California on the road over the weekend and now have won nine straight Pac-10 contests.

The Chanticleers dropped a tough midweek game to College of Charleston, but they rebounded over the weekend with a 2-0 series win over Radford.

The Gamecocks won a midweek bout against Furman before losing a very hard-fought series to Florida over the weekend.

The Horned Frogs did exactly what was expected of them over the weekend with a home series sweep over Cal State Bakersfield.

The Cardinals had an excellent week that included a midweek win and a road series sweep over Notre Dame that clinched the Big East regular-season title.

The Titans dropped a tough midweek bout to LMU to start the week, but they wrapped things up with a home series sweep over Santa Clara.

The Yellow Jackets beat Georgia State in midweek action before hitting the road and taking two of three from Boston College.

The Tigers really couldn’t have had a better weekend. They hit the road and swept Mississippi.

The Seminoles put together a set of dismal performances on the mound against Clemson over the weekend. They likely lost a regional host as a result.

The Razorbacks dropped a midweek bout to Oklahoma, but they made up for it over the weekend with a road series win over Vanderbilt.

The Sooners started the week with a midweek win over Arkansas before finishing the week with a road series sweep over Kansas.

The Hokies took a step back over the weekend with a poor showing against North Carolina. However, they’re still safe for a postseason berth.

The Hurricanes started the week with a win over Florida Gulf Coast before dropping two of three to Virginia to end the week.

The Huskies didn’t win the Big East regular-season title over the weekend, but they still took two of three from Seton Hall.

The Ducks started the week with a midweek win over Portland before finishing the week with a road series win over Washington.

The Owls beat rival Houston in a midweek affair before taking care of UAB with a series win over the weekend.

The Cougars continued their winning ways over the weekend by ripping USC in a three-game series.

The Rebels took yet another step back over the weekend by failing to win a game against Auburn at home.

The Toreros had another productive weekend that included a series win over Pepperdine. USD is in fantastic shape to earn a No. 2 seed in a regional.

The Commodores suffered a tough home series loss to Arkansas over the weekend. They now have some work to do to host a regional.

The Anteaters had another successful weekend that included a Big West seris win over UC Riverside.
