Rivals Top 25: Arizona State back on top

Arizona State is back in familiar territory.
Just a week after giving up the top spot to Pac-10 rival UCLA, the Sun Devils are back in the top spot in the Rivals.com Top 25.
The Sun Devils had an excellent week that included a home series sweep over USC. UCLA, meanwhile, surprised some by dropping a home series to surprising Oregon. The Bruins dropped from No. 1 to No. 5 this week.
ASU is joined in the top five by Virginia, Texas and Arkansas, too.
The Cavaliers bounced back from a tough midweek loss to VMI by taking care of rival Virginia Tech over the weekend, Texas absolutely crushed rival Texas A&M, and Arkansas swept its second straight SEC series.
Georgia Tech, LSU, Florida, South Carolina and Florida State round out the top 10.
Outside of the top 10, Miami climbed from No. 17 to No. 14 following a home series sweep over North Carolina, Arizona moved from No. 19 to No. 15 following a home series sweep over Washington State, Cal State Fullerton moved from No. 20 to No. 16 after taking two of three from UC Santa Barbara and California jumped from No. 21 to No. 17 after taking care of Washington at home.
Oregon State (No. 18), Western Kentucky (22) and UC Irvine (23) dropped out of this week’s rankings after bad weekends. Oregon, Connecticut and Rice entered the rankings.
The Ducks debuted at No. 18 following a huge road series win over UCLA, Connecticut debuted at No. 22 after having a perfect week and Rice rejoined the rankings at No. 23 after two straight C-USA series wins.

The Sun Devils are back in the top spot after a home series sweep over USC.

The Cavaliers dropped a midweek contest to VMI to start the week, but responded with a huge home series win over Virginia Tech.

The Longhorns were ridiculously dominant against Texas A&M, outscoring the Aggies 26-3 in three games over the weekend.

The Razorbacks are red-hot. They took care of New Mexico in the midweek and made very easy work of a bad Georgia club over the weekend.

The Bruins started the week with a midweek win over UC Riverside, but they were unable to take care of pesky Oregon at home.

The Yellow Jackets had an excellent week that included a smacking of rival Georgia and a home series sweep over ACC rival Clemson.

The Tigers had one of their better weeks of the season, taking care of in-state rival Tulane in midweek action before sweeping Alabama over the weekend.

The Gators dropped yet another midweek game to Florida State, but responded over the weekend with a road series win over Kentucky.

The Gamecocks had an excellent week that included a nice midweek RPI win over The Citadel and a weekend series win over Mississippi.

The Seminoles split a pair of midweek games before hitting the road and taking two of three from Duke.

The Cardinals took care of Western Kentucky in midweek action before hitting the road and earning a clean sweep over West Virginia.

The Horned Frogs began the week with a midweek win over Texas A&M before sweeping BYU on the road.

The Chanticleers extended their winning streak to 13 games with midweek wins over The Citadel and North Carolina and a series sweep over Gardner-Webb.

The Hurricanes had one of their best weeks of the season with a dominant midweek win over Florida Gulf Coast and home series sweep over North Carolina.

The Wildcats had a perfect week that included a midweek win over Gonzaga and a home series sweep over Washington State.

The Titans hit the road over the weekend and took care of UC Santa Barbara.

The Golden Bears took care of business against Washington over the weekend by taking two of three games.

The Ducks made their biggest statement of the season with a road series win over top-ranked UCLA.

The Tigers had a horrid week that included a midweek loss to Western Carolina and getting swept at Georgia Tech.

The Rebels had a tough week that included a midweek loss to Memphis and a weekend series loss to South Carolina.

After dropping a midweek bout to in-state rival Oklahoma State, the Sooners hit the road and dropped two of three to improved Texas Tech.

The Huskies had a perfect 5-0 weekend that included a conference road series win. Jim Penders is doing an outstanding coaching job this season.

The Owls seems to be showing signs of prolonged consistency with a midweek win over Sam Houston State and series win over UCF.

The Wildcats dropped two midweek games to BYU to start the week, but responded by sweeping Baylor at home.

The Hokies started the week with a midweek win, but stumbled over the weekend with a tough series loss to rival Virginia.
