Manny Abreu

Has a long frame and the size to play strongside linebacker in college. A smart player who reads plays well and takes a straight line to the football. He’s quick enough to be an outside blitzer and his frame allows him to cover tight ends. Abreu has good speed although there is too much wasted motion when he starts running. Needs to shorten his stride a bit but is still very solid laterally and can cover sideline-to-sideline. Very good instincts on the field and is a sure tackler who can deliver a blow. Takes on blockers well and sheds to make a tackle. Can sometimes over-commit on plays due to his aggressive nature so he needs to work on staying in position.
