Scouting Report on Dominic James

Short but powerfully built, James is a physical lockdown defender. He is quick with the ball and a good finisher around the basket. His three point shot off the pass needs improving. Also, on his penetration, he is prone to force it to the rim at times when the kick out pass is open.

Jerry Meyer serves as a national scout and recruiting analyst for Rivals.com. He played at Lipscomb University where be became college basketball's all-time career assist leader. Meyer earned Mr. Basketball honors in the state of Tennessee as a high school junior and senior. He has served as an assistant coach at Vanderbilt and also co-authored the book, "Basketball Skills and Drills."

The Junior-Senior games can sometimes be a letdown but Tuesday night at Pendleton Heights was a game for the ages. Greg Oden and company came out with purpose, jumping out to nice leads on the team that humiliated them last week in Washington. But as you might expect the older seniors fought back and it soon became a game of heroic plays stretching over three overtimes. We were there and have the game story with player quotes plus streaming video highlights of the clutch plays that decided things.
