by Jerry Meyer - 08/13/2004Mason is a point forward who makes things happen with the ball in his hands. He makes the players around him better with his intelligence, instinct, aggressiveness, and floor vision. He can put up numbers in a variety of statistical categories. His outside shot is not a strength, but he shoots it well enough.
Jerry Meyer serves as a national scout and recruiting analyst for Rivals.com. He played at Lipscomb University where be became college basketball's all-time career assist leader. Meyer earned Mr. Basketball honors in the state of Tennessee as a high school junior and senior. He has served as an assistant coach at Vanderbilt and also co-authored the book, "Basketball Skills and Drills."
