Scouting Report on Jordan Allen

How we scouted: Film footage, In-person visits, Game setting, Campby Barry Every - 08/25/2009
  • SpeedDivision I Player
  • SizeBlue Chip
  • StrengthBlue Chip
  • AgilityDivision I Player
  • Lateral PursuitBlue Chip
On the Hoof: Very thick, long-limbed athlete that has the frame that may allow him to grow into a defensive tackle.
Needs Improvement: Must improve his speed coming off the edge in order to become a more effective pass rusher.
Most Impressive: Does an excellent job using his long arms to keep offensive linemen from getting to his body. Allen also does a nice job of diagnosing plays and reacting.
Conclusion: Most likely a redshirt candidate as he learns the game and improves his speed and strength. Allen should excel as a run-stopping defensive end that will control offensive linemen and string plays out. Don't be surprised if he becomes a monster at defensive tackle.
